unfavourable running conditions and two delays due to rain
at the Mindoo Phillip Park on Monday 25th February 2008, Leon
Hess Comprehensive Secondary School is hoping for better running
performances in terms of times from its athletes during the
qualifying round and finals of the 2008 Inter Secondary School
Track and Field Championships,
The
St. Lucia Amateur Boxing Association held its general meeting
at the Palm Haven Hotel in Rodney Bay Gros Islet on Saturday
23rd February 2008 at which a new executive was duly elected
to run the affairs of the association for 2008-2010.
Peter Dalson, former secretary of the St. Lucia Domino association,
was elected as the new secretary,
School
volleyball action continues to heat up in the 2008 Tournament.
On Tuesday 26th February 2008 at the Anse Ger Secondary School
Court Entrepot Secondary’s female team defeated the
home team Anse Ger Secondary 2 -1, set scores ( 25 –
22, 27 -25 and 15 -4) in favour of Entrepot Secondary.
The
7th International Seniors Cricket Festival, organized by Gullivers
Sports Travel of the United Kingdom comes to Saint Lucia from
March 4th to 12th, 2008. Saint Lucia Tourist Board
who has assisted Gullivers in organizing the Festival hopes
that this will not be the last such event for the country
sports tourism initiative. Barbados hosted the first five,

St. Lucia Athletics Association will on Sunday 2nd March 2008
stage its Annual National Junior Track and Field Championship
at the George Odlum National Stadium in Vieux - Fort. Sunday’s
event is scheduled to commence promptly at 10:00 a.m. and
will see well over 300 athletes participating. According to
the SLAA a brief opening ceremony will see a March Past,
