Finally,
the new stretch of road is done and commuters and pedestrians
are now free to traverse the roads in safety. There
was a time when as soon as the roads were completed and in
fine shape, some one (company) would suddenly remember a pressing
problem affecting a fixture or contraption directly under
that lovely smooth surface of newly repaired road.

The
celebrations to mark the 29th. Anniversary of Saint
Lucia’s Independence got under way at the Cultural Centre
on Sunday evening and in the presence of Her Excellency the
Governor-General, Dame Pearlette Louisy, and Senator, The
Hon. Gaspard Charlemagne from the Ministry of Education and
Culture. Sadly, the event was poorly attended.

Ministry of Commerce into his personal political maneuverings
