Disappointed
in Virnet St Omer-Fontinelle
Constructive
criticism is one thing, however, cronyism, insulting language
and disrespect together can certainly help one judge individuals
and personalities. When one evaluates the article
written on The Star Newspaper of February 7, 2008 captioned
“SOMETHING IS ROTTING AND IT SURE AIN’T DENMARK”,
the content is most disconcerting,
To
the Ministry of Finance
“On
the subject of the rental of a residence, the Prime Minister
discussed this matter extensively with the Secretary to the
Cabinet and the Director of Finance, before accepting the
recommendation contained in the report of the Salaries Review
Commission”.

THE
CARIBBEAN COURT OF JUSTICE AND THE PRIVY COUNCIL
It
is regrettable that there is so little trust in the Leader
of the Opposition ( L.O.)that at this time when there should
be unity on the question of the implementation of the of the
Caribbean Court of Justice as a replacement of the Privy Council,
the L.Os. statement is at variance with the Government's position
on this issue. As everyone knows the disappointment is principally
with the judges in Trinidada.
This
is how I do it!
A
lady stopped me on Thursday. She said she had a question for
me. She asked: Mr Bousquet, how do you come up with the topic
for your commentaries? I told her I don’t.
She didn’t understand, so I took time to explain to
her that I really never know what my next commentary will
be about.
What
we can do about oil
Oil
and natural gas. Does St. Lucia have reserves that no one
is exploring? Before writing off this question as a non starter,
give me an ear. Off the north coast of Trinidad there
is at least one oil rig that has been pumping oil and or gas
for several years. The distance from Grenada to Trinidad,
shore to shore, is about 96 miles. The half way mark is therefore
48 miles.
