Artsibit Gallery was privileged was privileged to be graced
by the Governor General Her Excellency Dame Pearlette Louisy,
who took time of her busy schedule to view the gallery’s
contribution to the activities celebrating St. Lucia’s
nobel laureates, Derek Walcott and Sir Arthur Lewis. The exhibition
showcased the artwork of some of the islands finest painters,

I sat in the confines of my place of abode contemplating as
to which issue I should bring into perspective for this VALENTINE’S
DAY 14th February 2008, within a jiffy I reflected
on music and a movie which many of us years ago had made a
special part of our lives, because of the immeasurable appreciation
we in the Helen of the West,

May 8th – Ms. Diane Reeves is the pre-eminent jazz vocalist
in the world today on the Blue Note recording label.
As a result of her virtuosity, improvisational prowess and
unique jazz and R&B styling, she was awarded the Grammy
for Best Jazz Vocal Performance for three consecutive recordings—a
Grammy first in any vocal category.
If
you missed the National Day show, you missed the most creative
thing happening in St. Lucian music today. Ever-so-often in
the course of human existence, comes a core of artists who
change the course of history. They go against the
