Junior Karateka of the Year
He
was only six years old in 2004 when he first graced the Martial
Arts stage and four years later is a force to be reckoned
with on the island. This past year Rhashid Chitolie
at the age of 10, has an incredible list of performances in
the junior category and has gotten the nod without a doubt
as the Junior Karateka nominee for 200.

VSADC
Youth Academy opens its Doors this weekend
The
Vempers Sports Athletics Dramatic Club (VSADC) will reopen
its Youth Academy for 2008 with an opening ceremony scheduled
for Saturday 9th February at the Camille Henry Memorial School
commencing at 10:00 am. Currently, the Youth Academy
has an enrollment of forty (40) young and aspiring footballers
from ages 6 - 14 years,

Sports Athletics Dramatic Club (VSADC) on Sunday 27th January
2008 fulfilled its promise made to the Holy Family Children’s
Home with the donation of two food hampers. The commitment
was made by one of its members Dwight “One Time”
John during a program aired on a local radio station. John
who was touched when he heard the plight of the twenty six
children, 
Basketball
Federation Raises its head
The
St. Lucia Basketball Federation (SLBF), in collaboration with
the Ministry of Education, Social Transformation, HRD, Public
Service, Youth and Sports concluded a Preliminary Basketball
Coaching Course (PBCC) on the 22nd of January 2008 at the
Vigie Multi Purpose Sports Complex. President of

Saturday 2nd February was no exception as persistent rain
put an early end to what would have been an evening of exciting
yesteryears’ showpiece on center court between Golden
Girls 8 points and GI Gems 5 points in a exhibition match
–up.
