5’3’’ tall and medium built she is one of
the finest female basketball players on the island; a
student of the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College and a member
of the Lady Sonics Basketball team coached by veteran basketballer
Morgan George. A resident from the community of Babonneau
she was nominated as the Female Basketball player for the
year 2007,

St. Lucia Limited on Wednesday 30th January 2008, in partnership
with the St. Lucia Football Association and Serious Caribbean
Images, held a cheque handover ceremony at its main office
in Sans Souci, as they came to the assistance of
the St. Lucia senior Football team’s bid to qualify
for the 2010 Football World in South Africa.

Sailors For Regatta in Martinique
The
St. Lucia Yacht Club’s Dinghy Sailing Programme on Thursday
31st January sent a contingent of 8 young sailors to represent
St. Lucia at the 19th Annual Schoelcher Regatta in Martinique
which started on Friday 1st February and will run until Tuesday
5th February 2008. Representing St. Lucia at this
week long event in the Optimist class,

After
staging a successful walk for Healthy Life Style on Thursday
24th January 2008 amongst the seven primary schools within
District Two it was good news again for District Two on Wednesday
23rd January as Milo through its local agent Brydens in conjunction
with the St. Lucia National Cricket Association presented
a number of cricket bats,

St.
Ann’s secures top spot in SJC Road Race
St.
Joseph’s Convent on Thursday 31st February staged its
most talked about athletic activity for 2008 with its annual
Road Race which saw well over 575 students participating in
the 18 minute run. Avril Robinson representing St.
Ann’s proved too much for her opponents and ran away
with the first place finish in a time of 18 minutes 11:25
secs ahead of second and third place,

First for Soufriere Comprehensive in School Football
The
Boys from the western town representing Soufriere Comprehensive
Secondary School emerged winners of the Under 16 Schools Football
Tournament by defeating the flamboyant Babonneau Secondary
3 – 1 on penalties. It’s the first time
ever the Soufriere Comprehensive School has won any major
Football Tournament,
