Our
Parliamentarians – What a Sad Lot
Not
many of us know how to get the true measure of the people
we vote in parliament to take care of our affairs in government.
In fact, aside from hearing them on a political platform
where anything and everything can be said and it does not
matter how it is said, most of us hardly take the time to
evaluate the depth of those we vote into office.

It
still baffles me - this game played by two teams of 11 players
each on a rectangular, 100-yard-long field with goal lines
and goal posts at either end, the object being to
gain possession of the ball and advance it in running or passing
plays across the opponent’s goal line or kick it through
the air between the opponent’s goal posts and score,
hopefully. 
Are
the walls closing in on Prime Minister King?
Total
chaos and political interference at the Crown Lands Department
may have brought about the resignation of Peter Felix. For
those of us having to deal with this office on an ongoing
basis, we are not at all surprised at the Commissioner’s
decision. However, the buck does not stop at the resignation
of one man, as two more square pegs remain,

condemns disrespect of the DCA
The
Saint Lucia Labour Party is deeply disturbed by and condemns
the flagrant disregard and disrespect for the Development
Control Authority (the DCA) by the individuals who are presently
conducting an extensive construction project in the protected
area of the Pitons. The SLP is aware that the developers
have received no approval from the DCA,
