Begins its “Back to School Outreach” Programme

Digicel
began its Back to School Outreach Programme with a donation
of over 150 school packs to the participants of The Vide Bouteille
Summer Camp. The back to school packs included exercise
books and pencil cases which were well received by students
as they prepared for the commencement of school. The camp
saw a host of facilitators who taught the kids,

appointed by Parliament which includes persons recommended
by the opposition and civil society. Constitution
Reform, according to George, became necessary for St. Lucia
mainly because our Constitution was handed down to us by the

Moving
around has become a way of life for one of Barbados’
newest Exhibition winners, Kirk Scheper, who is currently
en route to the next stage in his life: studies in The Netherlands.
Scheper, who was born in St. Lucia to Barbadian parents, has
lived in four Caribbean islands in his abort life, but the
moves have not negatively impacted his academic success.

Renovation at CCSS
“A
little help goes a long way.” That’s how the Principal
of the CCSS Jeremy Joseph expressed his appreciation as he
accepted a cheque of $2900 from Consolidated Foods Limited
(operators of Super J Supermarkets and Big J’s). The
monies will be used for the purchase of materials to refurbish
and maintain the student washrooms at the school.
