An
accident which claims the smile of any avid holiday maker
anywhere in the world would dampen even the most highly spirited
and for Nick Martin, a visitor from the United Kingdom,
falling in a hole on the road and damaging his teeth definitely
put a kink in his vacation. He is livid after having fallen
in a hole during the local street party,

On
Saturday the 23rd of August 2008, about 12:30pm, on Clarke
Street, Vieux Fort, Michael Lubin, Justice of the Peace of
Cedar Heights, Vieux Fort was shot in the back by an unknown
person. The bullet exited from the right side of
his chest. He suffered a punctured lung. He was taken to the
St. Jude’s Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

Fireman
fights for his religious rights
Under
the St Lucia Constitution one has the guaranteed right to
belong to any religious group of his or her choice. That
guaranteed right also extends to the practise of such a religion.
Recently a fireman described as “exemplary “ was
relieved from his post because he wanted to practice his Seventh
Day Adventist religion by attending church services,
