Results Out
The
results of this year’s Caribbean Examinations Council
(CXC) Exams were made available as of yesterday.
Scores of past candidates were seen going to and from the
offices of the Ministry of Education last Friday following
a press release from the Ministry the day before. Preliminary
findings seem to indicate that the all-girls school St. Joseph’s
Convent has secured top spot,

along the Palmiste Road, Vieux Fort, involving motor car registration
number: PA5708, driven by 35 year old Grita Jagroop of Micoud.
Grita Jagroop lost control of the vehicle which caused
the car to run into a utility pole. Her father, Gregory Johnny
of Augier, Vieux Fort ,

Breakdown
in Justice System continues
On
Monday two convicted murderers appeared, not for the first
time, before Justice Kenneth Benjamin for sentencing.
Both accused Simon Marius and Christopher Jn Paul were weeks
ago found guilty of the offence of murder. The Judge previously
had ordered probation, social and psychiatric reports, a legal
requirement before handing down sentence.

new board of directors has been appointed to oversee the affairs
of the Cultural Development Foundation.
According to a reliable source, the Cabinet of Ministers recently
appointed the new committee to serve a two-year term effective
July 24, 2008 to July 24, 2010.
