at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China, St Lucia’s
Erma Gene Evans did her country proud when she competed in
the Women’s Javelin throw. Competing against
52 of the world’s top female javelin throwers, Evans
placed 30th out of 52 Olympic competitors with her year’s
best throw of 56.27 meters. Evans first throw was a warm up
46.79 meters,
