Spartan offers financial assistance to charitable organisations

Last week two charitable organizations benefited from the humanitarian gesture of Spartan Health Sciences University, School of Medicine, when they each received a cheque of $3,700.00. These proud recipients were Soufriere Soup Kitchen which is an arm of the St. Vincent De Paul Society (Soufriere Conference) and the Holy Family Children Home in Castries.

Mother of eight gets ten years for murder

Teresa Anne Marie Justin, 45 the mother of eight children will spend the next ten years of her life behind bars, her sentence for murdering William Andrew on the morning of January 30th 2005. Andrew was in his seventies and lived at Water Works Road, Castries. Although there was no evidence to the contrary it is alleged that Justin hit the elderly man,
