Lucia’s three Olympic Track and field Athletes have
had a quiet week of rest and diligent preparation as the Athletics
competition approaches starting Saturday 16th August 2008.
Under the watchful eyes of Chef de Mission Alfred Emmanuel
and Athletics coach Henry Bailey, the three athletes, Levern
Spencer (High Jump), Erma Gene Evans (Javelin)
All
look set for today’s kick-off of the 2008 St.Lucia Football
Association District Football Competition at the Phillip Marcellin
Ground in the south of the island. The action, which
the fans have been eagerly looking forward to, will now get
underway at 4:00 p.m. With one match scheduled for the long
awaited opening, Vieux-Fort South and Vieux – Fort North
will start the ball rolling,
