The
Senior Women’s Regional Cricket Tournament has changed
host country and will now be played in St. Lucia commencing
this Saturday 16th August at five venues around the island.
The island of Jamaica was the original country for
this year’s tournament which would have been played
from August 3rd -16th. Fortunately for the home team, two
weekends ago,
The
submission of a bid by the St.Lucia Athletics Association
to host the 38th edition of the Annual Carifta Games in St.
Lucia at the George Odlum National Stadium in 2009 , was a
rather welcome surprise by the athletics fraternity in St.Lucia
as the final announcement was made last year September in
Osaka, Japan.
