NYC Executive Elected
The
12th General Assembly of the Saint Lucia National Youth Council
(NYC) came to a climax at the Piaye Secondary School on Saturday
August 9, 2008 when the election of the Council’s seven
(7) member National Executive was concluded. A total
of eleven (11) candidates were nominated for the various positions
at stake and five (5) executive members, 
Attack
in tourist area continue
While
the government here tries to do some damage control regarding
attacks on tourists to St Lucia, in light of the recent murder
of two UK citizens honeymooning in Antigua, the attacks on
tourism continue. The latest assault albeit not
on a tourist but on a restaurant owner in the much visited
spot of Marigot Bay took place last Friday evening. 
Digicel
and Karib cable bring the better life to local communities
Digicel
and Karib Cable, joined forces last Saturday 9th August to
bring ‘The Welcome to the Better Life’ campaign
into the communities of St Lucia. The Digicel and
Karib Cable train led by DJ Garvin took to the roads and visited
communities such as Castries, Bexon, Dennery, Micoud, Vieux
Fort and Laborie along the way. 
Local
med students get overseas advice
Students
of the American International Medical University last weekend
hosted a delegation from the United States of America.
The two-man delegation was on the island to apprise the fifty-odd
students about the benefits that can be derived from their
