Commercial Domino Competition too early to call

The excitement continues in the 2008 Commercial House Carib 3- Hand Domino Competition at the Police Auditorium on Bridge Street. Despite overcast skies, well over sixty domino players representing the various Commercial Houses participating in this year’s competition made their way to the Police Auditorium as early as 6:00 pm for the evening challenge.

St. Lucia netballers finally got it right this time around and where it matters most in St.Vincent and the Grenadines, as it was sweet revenge for the ladies in gold, white, blue and black colors when they defeated arch rivals St.Vincent & the Grenadines at home 40 - 38 at the just concluded AFNA Championships in a thrilling encounter played at the Arnos Vale Sporting Complex.

Dominic Johnson sets eyes on Beijing Medal

St. Lucia’s veteran Olympian, Pole Vault extraordinaire Dominic Johnson, pulled all stocks from out of the bag to do a last minute qualifying height for the Beijing Olympics when he cleared 5.55 meters (18’ 2 1/2”) at a USATF Sanctioned meet in San Diego. Dominic, a past Sportsman of the Year recipient, had recently won a Silver medal for St. Lucia at the CAC Championships,
