Coca Cola Cricket Final Continues Today

The long awaited Coca Cola Mindoo Phillip three day cricket final bowled off yesterday Friday 27th January at 1:00pm at the Mindoo Phillip Park. The final which was initially scheduled for last November at the same venue was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to persistent rain and a soggy outfield.
The two finalists - Central Castries and defending champions South Castries have been strengthened by the inclusion of Windwards players back home from the recently concluded Caribbean Twenty20 tournament in Barbados.
Defending champions South Castries will have the services of West Indies captain, Darren Sammy, West Indies T20 players Johnson Charles, and Garey Mathurin along with national players Xavier Gabriel, Esau Gabriel and Sherlon Isidore.

Central Castries will welcome back Windward Island middle order batsman Keddy Lesporis and will also be looking to good performances from young batting sensation Tarick Gabriel and Windwards youth player Jamal James.
Meanwhile, upon going to press there was no word coming from the MPP as to which team won the toss or which of the two teams took first knock. The match continues today Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th at 10:00am respectively.
