Bay Gardens set to host reality TV Show

From Monday November 2, 2009 the Bay Gardens Beach Resort will be home to television production “Project Paradise”. For the next two weeks the 72-room resort will be home to participants in a reality show meant to “cleanse and purify the body”.
The show will be aired by German television Pro Sieben which is aired across Europe and has become one of the most watched television channels. For five (5) days celebrities will survive on water and a specially brewed tea whilst focusing on healthy living and exercise. Two segments of this show will be filmed in St Lucia.
Chosen as home for Project Paradise from November 1-15, Bay Gardens will host this television crew with support from the St Lucia Tourist Board and corporate partner, ISO certified Baron Foods whose bottled water will keep contestants hydrated during their “no food” period.

The first set of participants arrive via Hewanorra on Sunday November 1 for the first week of filming:
Mr Model of the World Nico Schwanz; Markus Grim, a popular performing artiste; Diana Herold, actor and TV Host and Milka Loff Fernandes, host of TV show VIVA. The second contingent arrives next Sunday November 9.
“This is a great opportunity not only for us at Bay Gardens but also for St Lucia” says Mrs Berthia Parle, General Manager of Bay Gardens Beach Resort. “Whilst we are ecstatic that our beautiful resort will be featured all over Europe, this also is an opportunity to show off destination St Lucia.”
This milestone for the locally owned and managed hotel chain is coming at an opportune time when St Lucia is getting ready to welcome the return of the Condo flight out of Germany.
